Qualification and Experience

  • Persons of ability and integrity
  • Adequate knowledge and professional experience in aviation, economics, law, commerce, or consumer affairs
  • Applicants must not be in the service of the government unless they have held the post of Secretary or Additional Secretary to the Government of India or any equivalent post in the Central or State Government for a total period of not less than 3 years.

Salary

Consolidated pay package of Rs. 4,50,000/- per month (without house & car) as per Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure O.M. No. 16-1/2017/E-IIIA dated 10.01.2018.

Tenure

The Chairperson shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he/she enters upon his/her office or till he/she attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

Selection will be done by the Selection Committee constituted by the Government of India in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, as per Section 5 of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008.
